Our philosophy

   At The Village Bakery we understand that finding and purchasing specialty foods is often difficult and time-consuming, costing consumers valuable time, effort, and resources. In an effort to mitigate those burdens, we have built our business around service and delivery.


Customer service & delivery

   Currently, we provide our breads through a "subscription" service, on-site pick up, or special orders. Breads are baked Tuesday and Thursday and delivered Wednesday and Friday, together with desserts. 

   Subscribers may consult this page for our weekly offerings and then email orders to us here by the Friday before the next week's bake. Or, if you prefer, we will email a weekly reminder to you.

   Deliveries are scheduled around designated locations, with a minimum required order for each location. If you live or work within our delivery areas, we will do our best to accommodate you.


Corporate gifts & special orders

   Many of our products make wonderful corporate gifts, and we are happy to accept speciality orders and to provide breads and desserts for catered events. Please call us at 812-967-8390 at least three weeks in advance.


Mail order

   Because we are unable to ensure the best keeping quality for breads sent via ground mail without charging a small fortune, we will not be offering breads through mail order for the forseeable future. And because we do not as yet accept credit cards, our desserts are offered only locally as well. Some day, we expect this will change.
